The Spots is a Boston-based band made up of predominantly queer, female-identified musicians (plus one delightful queer-adjacent gentleman). Our sound is "Genre Fluid" and blends elements of pop, punk, and rockabilly—what we have called pop-punk-folk-abilly. We deliver energetic, crowd-pleasing sets that combine original songs with reimagined throwback pop hits—from Timberlake to Robyn—that are perfect for singing along and dancing it out.
Beyond the music, The Spots is a band of educators and activists who are deeply committed to social justice. We love to host and contribute to community-driven events that raise funds for local schools and grassroots organizations. Our signature event, Rock Out With Your Cause Out, has supported incredible initiatives such as Boston GLASS, Prospect Hill Academy’s THRIVE program, Boston Public Schools enrichment programs, Girls Rock Campaign Boston, and more.
We’re always seeking meaningful collaborations—with fellow artists, community organizers, and venues that align with our mission. Whether it’s a bar, brewery, Pride celebration, wedding cocktail hour, or benefit concert, if the vibe is inclusive, joyful, and purpose-driven, we’re all in.
Let’s connect and make some noise—for music, for justice, and for community.
